BACKGROUND

Powder Buy The Pound is a subsidiary of PSS – Powder System Solutions, Inc. (visit www.powdersytemsolutions.com for more information).  Powder System Solutions was founded in 2004 by James Swainston who has over 21 years experience in the Powder Coating Industry in an effort to better meet the demanding equipment and process needs of industrial line coating operations.  Two years later, Powder Buy The Pound was formed to accomplish this same goal with regards to the unique needs of the growing custom batch coating segment of the market.  As Powder Buy The Pound has grown and developed over the years, the main focus has always been how to best bring industrial knowledge to the custom batch coater.  In 2009, with the combined knowledge of powder coating equipment and understanding of our customers’ needs, Powder Buy The Pound, operating under PSS, began designing and manufacturing powder coating systems in-house under the SpectraCoat^TM brand name.  To this day, we continue to innovate and refine these systems out of our production and training facility located in Nolensville, TN.

PRODUCTS & SERVICES

Our online catalog includes 500+ stocked powder coating colors as well as numerous additives, chemicals, hanging and masking supplies, application equipment, liquid ceramics, and 1 Shot pinstripping/lettering products.  In addition to the hundreds of powder colors we currently stock and sell, we also have the ability to match nearly any color, effect, and finish in our on-site custom color matching and manufacturing lab.  Regardless of their source, all of our powder coating powders, additives, & liquid coatings are stored in an environmentally controlled atmosphere to further ensure product integrity.  Another of our industry leading policies is all orders placed before 12:30 PM EST are shipped same day as long as stock allows.  Some additional value added services that we provide include a technical powder coating forum, company newsletter, powder coating blog, applicator directory, and equipment classifieds.  You can now also join us on FaceBook or follow us on Twitter!
