First I have being trying not to order from them after the slow shipping problems and some prior dealings where I have had to tell customers my supplier let me down. So I order from ptbp on monday for the first time in forever because I haven't been able find a couple popular colors that I bought from them before. So I order monday and recieve by wed. Sweet I guess problems are fixed. Then I get a customer who needs a special order by this weekend (sun). I admit I still looked for another supplier for the color. To my luck ptbp is the only person who has what I am looking for. So I order color wed.... So thursday comes no confirmation and I get an invoice that says paid?? So friday comes along comes before shipping confirmation and now I know I will have to tell customer it isn't going to be here sat and not happen by sunday. Now come to find out I paid through paypal in which they charge my paypal existing credit and then for the fun of it pbtp charges my credit card for the same balance. Really did I authorize the transaction and does that give the company have the right to run my credit card that I have used on a prior transaction for that??? WTF! This time I will find a more reliable supplier and you will be hearing from me first thing monday morning asking why the hell you charged my credit card for an unauhtorized purchase. It is a shame this company has gone to shit!! See everybody over at powder365 and I will put pbtp right behind columbia coatings on the do not order from list.

PS. By the way I need to get a scale to verify this, but when I ordered my prior order (earlier this week). I order several 1 pound containers of different powders and all looked the same size except the pat. chrome (expensive powder $20/lb) which was quite a bit smaller than the other ones I ordered. I know different types of powders may have different characteristics, but this literally looked like a half pound of powder at best. I sprayed one bicycle and fork out of it and hardly have enough to do another. The worst part is I have another pound coming with the other order and the first thing I am going to do is weigh it.

I think you owe PBTP the opportunity to explain the mixup. I do know how you feel as there is a supplier in the screen printing supply business that is notorious at charging your credit card then shipping COD. If you want the stuff you pay the COD then discover on the credit card statement later that you were double billed. But, there may be a logical reason for PBTP mixup.

I will say that I limit my orders to PBTP due to shipping charges. 3 lbs from PBTP was almost $14 and 25 lbs from another company was $17.

Let them explain. . .they may have problems that upper management is not aware of.

Yes they should have the opportunity to explain what may have happened. I do however disageee with the upper management statement. In my experience 25+ years in the printing biz, (20+ as a union member, 15 as an elected union officer) it can be upper mgt that has the problem and we all know shit runs downhill.

I'm sure someone from PBTP will chime in to explain.

Maybe some good advice no matter who you order from, call and talk to a live person befor ordering a product. especially if it's time sensitive.

"old PBTP staff" or "new PBTP staff" If I call to check availability of a product, and shipping eta, I have NEVER been lied too.

Even when they had the shipping during the move issues, I would call, they would say "2 weeks to process and ship" then I would decide if I could wait, if not I would move on to one of the other 20 powder suppliers.

I don't know the whole story (both sides) and am not trying to get in the middle, or sway anyone.
I'm just saying, the Internet order system cant tell you the vital info a phone call can, no matter who you order from.

I would never leave my clients satisfaction up to an internet order, pick up the phone, get the order facts from a live person. Then if the company doesn't follow thru, you have "I got it from the horse's mouth" to fall back on.

Billing errors happen, I'm sure they will fix it.

Both problems sound like easy fixes, that communication can fix

Couldn't agree more with Jeff on this one, I've spent most of my career in management. If upper management doesn't know what's going on the whole company suffers. I was told early in my career "Inspect what you expect".

Ya I was very irritated at the time. Fact one though is they charged a credit card that I didn't authorize them to do when I paid as a paypal transaction (double charged me). Second I have had several issues with them not telling me something was back ordered on two different occasions until I called in week later. Lastly the pat. chrome that I got from them I am pretty sure was short (not 100% sure because I didn't weigh it, but way smaller than other bags). I have shot two bicycles and a fork now and pretty much out. I can get over some of those reasons and I have ordered tons of powder from ptbp, but the biggest reason will try and order from someone else is there shipping has become to unpredictable. You don't know if it will be shipped the same day or many days later. On a special order I want to be able to tell a customer when the powder is going to show up. The places I have found to get powder shipped out very promptly and can see them in two-three business days. Anyways rant over. I am sure there was some reason they double charged me, but again another inconvenience.

I am very sorry you got double billed somehow. I am looking into this matter further and will post up within the next 24 hrs.

Thanks,
Jesse

Ok, sorry for the delay in responding. It turns out the double charge was refunded to your CC on 7/19. It appears that the billing department somehow missed that your order was a PayPal internet order and instead treated it like a phone in order. To explain, internet orders are automatically processed either through PayPal or through a third party credit card company. When you make an internet order, we never actually see the credit card number you are using. What happened in this case is that we had your credit card number on file from a previous phone in order and it was the default payment method to be used for phone in orders. Again, sorry for the mix up and any inconvenience the double billing may have caused.

Regarding the suspected chrome shortage, like you said, it's too late now to know for sure but if you truly feel you were shorted I will gladly send out another 1/2 lb to put your mind at ease.
